Anna Crow is a Vancouver based artist and tattooist creating symbolic paintings, tattoos and immersive visual worlds that explore the coexistence of chaos and calm, instinct an control, and the tension between nature and automation.

Working between realism and abstraction, her pieces emerge through an intuitive process shaped by dreams, subconscious imagery, mythology, and the natural world. Fragmented structures, organic growth, and dissolving forms often appear throughout the work reflecting her fascination with transformation, resilience and the persistence of life within an increasingly mechanized environment.

Rather than beginning with rigid narratives pieces often develop through flow state, and intuitive emergence allowing meaning to reveal itself gradually through the act of creation.

With the background in both fine art and tattooing, Anna approaches art as something deeply lived…. carried on the body, placed in your home, the work is a ‘becoming’ or a return to authentic self. Her work is less concerned with providing answers then creating experiences that feel emotionally recognizable before they are fully understood.

At the center for practice is a simple belief that art is good medicine.
